--November is the last month of meteorological autumn in the Northern Hemisphere. --Several well-organized lines of thunderstorms extend from southwest to northeast over the eastern half of the United States. --Lightning occurs in several episodes along the west coasts of Canada and Alaska in November. --The east-west aligned equatorial trough, the Intertropical Convergence Zone, is intermittent over the western North Atlantic and eastern North Pacific during the month. --Central America has moderate lightning through the month. ~Ron Holle

--02 to 05 November: Large cyclonic system is over Pacific Ocean west of Canada and northwest United States. Several weaker storms occur in the same region through the month. --08 to 09 November: Large extratropical cyclonic circulation northeast of Bermuda. --19 to 20 November: Nearly continuous line of lightning from Mexico to Canada over the United States. --29 to 30 November: Severe weather outbreaks occur in the southeast United States. ~Ron Holle
