--June is the first month of meteorological summer in the Northern Hemisphere. --The dominant direction of thunderstorm movement is from W to E. --The Pyrenees Mountains separating Spain from France are sometimes a boundary between storms on one side of the mountain range and the other side. --Thunderstorms form daily over Turkey. --Storms form almost daily over the NE shore of the Black Sea and often move N to NE. These storms are especially strong later in the month. --The United Kingdom has minimal lightning during June; weak activity occurs on the 5th, 13th, and 21st over SE England. ~Ron Holle
