Growth Company Dream Broker Expands to Denmark and Launches a New Generation Product

Posted on: March 20, 2013|||

Dream Broker, a Finnish software company producing online video solutions, opens an office in Denmark and launches a new generation software solution for the production, editing and distribution of videos. The company also strengthens its management team by appointing Petri Raitio as CTO.

Dream Broker continues its internationalisation by opening a subsidiary in Denmark. The subsidiary will employ five people, and the goal is to grow the number of staff to ten during the first year of operations.

“We want to be a strong Scandinavian company. For us this means that we are truly close to our customers, and that we serve them in their own language and according to their local ways of operation. Opening a subsidiary in Denmark was a natural step for us after expanding to Sweden,” says Mika Ahokas, CEO of Dream Broker.

“According to our experience, organisations in Denmark see the benefits that online videos have for business operations. Establishing a subsidiary in Denmark makes us better equipped to help Danish companies and public organisations operate and communicate more effectively with our solutions,” says Hannu Stewart, Country Manager, Denmark.

Strengthening management team

Dream Broker will in the future invest more and more in product development and new innovations. Through this strategic decision, the company has invited Petri Raitio as its management team member and CTO. Raitio has previously worked as Vice President in Sulava Oy, and prior to that as CTO and management team member in Tekla Oyj.

“We aim high. The new CTO, Petri Raitio, brings with him the kind of know-how that will secure our position as an innovator and a pioneer in our own field also in future. Raitio will also strengthen Dream Broker’s growth and internationalisation know-how significantly,” Ahokas states.

“Dream Broker is a Finnish software industry success story, and it is a unique opportunity to be able to be part of developing it further. I accept the challenge and promise to make sure that the company’s product contains the necessary ingredients for both commercial and technical breakthrough on an international scale,” Petri Raitio says.

Close to the user

With the expansion, Dream Broker launches a new generation browser-based software solution for the production, editing and distribution of online videos. The solution will integrate online videos as part of the customers’ daily operations. The software is typically used for training, learning and communications purposes.

“Our new generation product solution offers our customers a completely novel and intuitive way to communicate and learn. In addition to new technology, the solution is an innovation that will bring the ways companies operate to a new level,” Ahokas states.

With the help of the user-friendly software anyone in the organisation is able to produce, share and watch videos in an easy and secure way. “During the development phase, ease of use formed one of the important starting points. It enables each customer to make the most of all features without prior experience. The new product also enables an even more extensive support for different devices such as smart phones and tablets,” Head of Product Tuomo Vierros says.
