Role and responsibilities:
Dream Broker Ltd and the Lapinlahti foundation are looking for a Fundraiser professional who can represent the foundation and find donations and donors for Lapinlahti foundation. You will be employed by Dream Broker Ltd and this way, Dream Broker is donating this service to the foundation, so that the foundation can collect the relevant donors and help to capitalise the foundation.
The foundation and its purpose:
Lapinlahti foundation is founded in 2023 by the following founding members: Mieli Suomen Mielenterveys ry, Pro Lapinlahti mielenterveysseura ry, Osuuskunta Lapinlahden Tilajakamo, Kaakkois-Suomen sosiaalipsykiatrinen yhdistys ry, Y-säätiö sr and Dream Broker Oy.
The name of the foundation is Lapinlahti-säätiö sr, Lapinlahti Foundation sr and Stiftelsen Lappviken sr in Swedish. The foundation’s registered office is the city of Helsinki.
The foundation’s primary mission is to rescue, save and renovate the old Lapinlahti mental hospital cultural heritage and its buildings. Hence, the mission is to support activities that promote mental health and inclusive culture in Lapinlahti area in Helsinki and to cherish and protect the hospital buildings and cultural history and heritage of the area and the nature values of the park.
The foundation nurtures the tradition of mental health work in the Lapinlahti region in the areas of research, science, art, culture and teaching and mental health work and services in the region.
The foundation’s secondary purpose is to support mental health-promoting activities in nation-wide in Finland and other parts of the country as well.
Business and Philanthropy:
The better the output and success, the better position Dream Broker is to help finance Lapinlahti as a whole, save and rescue the cultural heritage, together with the Lapinlahti foundation. Examples of relevant foundations are the most well-known foundations in Finland. The role will be dynamic and versatile with fundraising work, as well as selling Dream Broker products. We hope that helping the company succeed with the mission and vision, with concrete marketing and sales efforts, the company will have enough resources to help the foundation. In conclusion, the person will have an indirect and direct impact on a long-lasting deserving cause that will help millions in the years to come, through the foundation and Dream Broker as a company.
Requirements, experience, motivation and values:
We are looking for someone with the needed experience, with an extensive network, motivated by social responsibility and charity projects. The position requires a sales oriented and sales driven mindset with capabilities to connect the relevant businesses and stakeholders. The person’s main responsibility will be to focus on the sales & marketing efforts in order to identify and attract companies, associations and other foundations to finance and donate funds to the Lapinlahti foundation, to rescue and save the old Lapinlahti mental hospital and its cultural heritage. You need to have your heart and passion for promoting the importance of mental wellbeing.
We appreciate someone open-minded, having experience form the field of raising funds, donors, donations and having an extensive network with relevant stakeholders and understanding what is needed from the World-class philanthropy work. The person should be well aligned with Dream Broker’s values and the work Dream Broker does. The Lapinlahti foundation is the main social responsibility program that Dream Broker is driving on a long term basis. We can offer a competitive salary, good benefits and continuous employment. Furthermore, the ideal person for this position will mainly do charity fundraising, helping rescue the hospital but also promote Dream Broker and help sell its software products. Your compensation is based on the concrete fundraising and sales results of the company.
In your role, you would report directly to the CEO Mika Ahokas and the management team of Dream Broker and collaborate actively with the Board of Directors of the Lapinlahti foundation.
