How to Easily Create Teaching Material With Online Video

|

Suomen Yrittäjäopisto is a nationwide institute founded in 1968. They operate under the authorization of the Ministry of Education and Culture and has the permission to organize adult education and issue diplomas and certificates. Approximately 3,500 students study at Suomen Yrittäjäopisto every year.

Most of their trainings are organized entirely online. They have been using videos as part of their online courses for the past ten years. But as the number of online trainings continued to grow, they needed a completely new service to replace the server that remained small. The aim was to find an easy-to-use service because the educators and experts of Suomen Yrittäjäopisto create almost all the teaching material themselves.

That is why it has always been important for us to have functional and easy-to-use systems. So that anyone at any time can create teaching material with the lowest possible threshold.

In the end, Suomen Yrittäjäopisto decided to start using Dream Broker Studio, as it allows educators to manage the videos from creation to sharing. Most of the teaching material is done by using screen recording, but some educators also use the mobile app to create videos. Videos are shared by linking to a learning environment, where students can watch them at a suitable time.

This has also helped to make the use of videos as an online learning material even more commonplace, enabling the creation of higher quality online learning products, enabling more flexible learning and leading us to overall better results.

During the past 12 months, the educators of Suomen Yrittäjäopisto have created over 600 new videos using Dream Broker Studio and now the videos have been viewed over 11 000 times. Suomen Yrittäjäopisto sees Dream Broker Studio as an essential part of their e-learning.
